Vanilla Bakery is all about cupcakes, so if you are into this sweet dessert, you should definitely drop by. The bakery is located near the metro station Buonarroti (red metro line). They have a huge assortment of cupcakes, all beautifully decorated as you can see from the pictures. If you prefer it more salty, you can choose instead between sandwiches, salads, hamburgers and bagels and in the evening hours also an Aperitivo.
So… the next Sunday morning stop by and enjoy the sun and a nice coffee with a cupcake at one of their outside tables!

The BAR STRAF belongs to the adjoining hotel STRAF, directly in the center near the Duomo. However, you don’t need to pass through the hotel to enter the bar as it has a separated entrance. The bar is very tiny, but there are seats also on the outside in front of the bar. They offer an Aperitivo for € 10 including a drink and the buffet. The buffet is small but tasty. You can choose between for example tacos, dips, pasta, salads, bread (the assortment varies). During the week, the place is full of Italians who go there after their work, so it is difficult to get a seat but the best time for people watching.
So after your next exhausting shopping tour, enjoy a Spritz there!

Situated in the heart of Chinatown oTTo offers a nice retreat during the day, where you can work or just relax while enjoying a coffee. The atmosphere is very casual with simple wooden tables and mixed-style chairs. The highlight is a wall covered entirely with plants. At nighttime (from 18.30 on) it gets busier. They do not offer an Aperitivo with a fixed price and a buffet, but you can have a nice meal from € 5 upwards and a glass of wine or a bottle of beer (in total you pay around € 10). You will find the menu on the left side of the counter, where you have to order and pay at once. All their dishes are made of fresh and healthy ingredients and consist mainly of a plate with a mixture of little snacks or a very specially created sandwich. From time to time, they also host events. For more details check out their website.

Nottingham Forest is one of the best places in Milan to enjoy a cocktail. But you have to arrive early if you want to avoid a long waiting time to get a free table. We went there at 7 pm during the week and had to wait nevertheless half an hour to be seated. The bar itself is tiny and the decoration is extraordinary… a potpourri of paintings, masks and statures from all parts of the world. You can choose between a place at the bar or at a table. The price of the cocktail seems to vary depending on where you sit (€8 at the bar and €10 at the table during the happy hour from 18.30 until 21.00). Now let’s come to the most important part: the cocktails. You can choose from a huge variety of different cocktails including as well non-alcoholic cocktails. On the menu, I even spotted a cocktail with a real jewel for €3,500 upwards (you have to notify them beforehand). Each cocktail is served in a different and very special arrangement, which is carefully chosen according to the theme of the cocktail. Two examples you can see on the pictures below.
A visit to this bar is an absolute must!
